El pequeño maní
quería subir.
The little peanut, he wanted to climb.
Así fue subiendo, subiendo
con su cuerpo pequeño,
color caramelo.
And so it went up, up, up,
with her small, caramel-colored body.
En la parte alta también jugó,
como un mono pardo se colgó
y desde arriba todo observó.
At the top the peanut also played,
like a brown monkey it hung and from above it observed everything.
Cuando llegó a la cima,
de aquel árbol con frondosidad desconocida,
se recostó...
When he reached the top, of that tree with unknown leafiness, he leaned back...
Tras un rato,
la noche llegó
y junto a las estrellas durmió.
