Sin embargo, yo, que soy un frasco con sal, me quedé en la mesa para vigilar y descubrí que las servilletas no son solo para limpiar, a veces se levantan y se ponen a conversar.
They say that napkins don't talk, that they are only used to clean up spilled food, that they are used at the table and that they are put away when there is no more dinner. However, I, who am a jar of salt, stayed at the table to keep watch and discovered that napkins are not only for cleaning, sometimes they get up and start talking.
They are the chattering napkins, they talk and talk when no one is looking, they tell each other about their life while they eat bread with jam and butter. How rare is a napkin eating, I don't know how is the stomach inside them, they are so magical, they eat, eat and don't get fat, they are still flat.
Of course, as soon as someone approaches, they are kept in the blue box on the table, waiting there to be used at some dinner. The hand that is not brute, sometimes intuits that the napkins are hiding something, that is why it arrives eagerly and leaves them a little water, in case they want to bathe in the early morning, to refresh their white skinned body.
But they don't like the bath, they say that the water gives them a cold, they ignore the glass that the hand has left them and continue talking, about the good, the bad, about everything that life has given them, thanking for what they have achieved.
