Un huevo cocinado,
estaba bien sentado
hasta que se sintió estático
y se lanzó al vacío afanado.

Este huevo tuvo suerte,
sobre un pan cayó suavemente,
no sé partió, su cáscara está excelente,
se salvó de romperse.

A hard-boiled egg
was sitting there just fine
until it felt stuck
and eagerly plunged into the void.

This egg was lucky,
it landed gently on a piece of bread;
it didn’t break—its shell is in perfect condition,
it managed to avoid cracking.

El huevo del pan se bajó
y la mesa no le agradó,
sobre el pan de nuevo se montó
e intento volver de donde salió.

Pero, no lo logró,
y otra vez se cayó
entonces, se le ocurrió,
acercar el pan para lograr su misión.

The egg rolled off the bread
and didn't like the table,
so it climbed back onto the bread
and tried to go back to where it came from.

But it didn't succeed,
and it fell again.
Then it occurred to it
to move the bread closer to accomplish its mission.

With a sense of nostalgia, he resigned himself to the fact
that he wouldn’t make it home,
until I arrived
and picked him up without a second thought.

I set him down safely,
and he was happy,
and I took the bread with no regrets,
so he wouldn’t have to do any acrobatics while I’m away.
