This is Ube Jam or what we called "Halayang Ube" is one of the famous dessert and delicacies in our country (Philippines). It is a very delicious dessert made from purple yam, condensed milk, butter or margarine and cheese with grated coconut or cheese toppings. You can buy this food or you can make, you can also found this dessert every December especially Christmas Day because this is one of the famous foods on the table during Christmas.
Nowadays halayang ube can also use and mix in halo - halo or ice cream, Filipinos are also making ube cake, ube candy, pastries flavored ube.
