The world is immense; there's room for everyone just as they are. Why should I shrink myself to fit in with people, to have opportunities? We are unique beings in this world, but we will find our place without diminishing ourselves, without silencing our laughter, our voices, without hiding our feelings, and without ceasing to express every emotion.

Why should I shrink to avoid offending or to be loved? My attitude is part of my nature, of my essence. This is who I am: too intense, too vulnerable, and too much me in this round, vast world. I know there's room for me without having to cut myself down or diminish myself. There are people who appreciate me, and opportunities are coming my way. No more pretending to be someone I'm not. Someone will love me just as I am, and if not, then that place is no longer for me.
