J'adore cet oiseau !!
I love this bird!! I have already posted many photos of this species of osprey on Hive, and I’m starting again today for the contest #210 of Feathered Friends. So here is an osprey in Cape Verde, going to his favorite fishing spot! For information, here in Boa Vista, these birds are "captured" to be banded. A follow-up is thus carried out and the population studied.

And then during its last appearance on the surface it will take a final breath before probing again for some minutes of apnea. This last dive will push her to send her tail over her body. It is at this time that one can observe its white spots drawn on its tail fin. A photo of this part of his body will be used to identify him. Finally, the jump, the ultimate spectacle! Show its strength to the female, educate her young, get rid of parasites, all reasons that push the whales to violently pass the surface before falling back in a smashing noise. Well believe me or not, but this morning we saw all that!!!
