After a breakfast of oats, fruits and coffee, I did my weekly cleaning today, going back and forth with sweeping and mopping the floor in all the rooms, the kitchen, the balcony, scrubbing the bathroom floors, folding the clothes, amongst others.
At the end of the day, it was surprising to see the number of steps collected. While it felt good to have walked that number of steps, I can’t help but wonder if I am spending too much time with chores and not living my life. Sometimes, I am told “you need help”.
Yah, maybe I do. Sometimes it is hard to admit that we need help. Maybe it is pride, maybe it is the unwillingness to let go, maybe it is greed or maybe it is just trust. And sometimes help comes with a cost, something that needs deliberation. Do I need help or do I want help? I need to seriously consider. Ponder, ponder and my mind wonders.
