Death is wicked, it dislikes peace and happiness. I wish there is a way out from it's wicked burning missiles. Once death enters a house, the effect lasts so long. Though many times, depending on the level, it's painful stings lasts forever.

Death knocked at my friends door last month. The name of my friend and auntie is Mrs Nkechi Susan Uzogu (nee Amanze). She got married in the year 2012 and I was among her bridesmaids. To me, it's As if the whole thing took place days ago. On that very day, we all danced with her throughout the night and as jovial and social she is, we played with her several hours.

My people, counting from 2012 down to this day, how many years? Can we say that this marriage endured for years? Hmm, too bad. Worse yet, her mum is alive. This kind of death is more than painful oo.

According to the husband, she developed fibroid, so he took her to several places seeking for medical attention. Health care providers and personnels also did their best to no avail. At a point, he decided to operate it, though, without the consent of the wife's family. He took her to a far distant land (state) where they operated on her. After the surgery, the lady voiced out to her sisters that the husband took her to a far distant state where they conducted surgery on her. The truth is that only God knows what motivated the family to take her to another hospital.

The doctor detected danger resulting from the surgery (only God knows the best) and did his best to save her life because she's his inlaw. Yet, she kicked the bucket. On Saturday, the 18th day of April 2023, we gathered to bury her. After the funeral discourse, she was buried. What pained the mother most is that she is survived by no child. Yes, she didn't give birth to any child prior to her death.

Today, am writing this post with tears rolling down my cheeks. Everything happened like a dream. My Auntie and friend is no more. I can't see her again. Her beautiful smiles are gone. Anyway, the resurrection hope consoles me.
