Stephen Blois was born in 1096. After Henry I. passed away many people in England declared himself king. In Stephen he agreed with the Church to declare himself king. And Church declare Stephen as king of England. Stephen, who supported Church, also supported the English lords. And Stephen became the king of England in 1135.
Stephen's first job was to end the ongoing rebellions in Scotland. After stephen finished these rebellions, he tried for the welfare of the people of England.
But Stephen's cousin at Empress Matilda declared himself king of England , and Matilda started a war against Stephen. Stephen won the first two of these battles. But he was taken prisoner by Stephen Matilda in the 3rd battle. Then Stephen's soldiers saved Stephen from Matilda's fortune. On this, the wars continued. But these battles were not exactly finished. And it was the people of England who suffered the most from this. Finally, Stephen and Matilda agreed. And Matilda abandoned England.
But not too long after in 1141 Stephen passed away.
