III. Felipe was born in 1578. Felipe became the king of Spain in 1598.
Felipe tried to correct the collapsed Spanish economy. Because of this, Felipe has pursued a peaceful policy against other countries except the Ottoman state. Felipe signed a peace agreement with Britain after the change of the king in England. Felipe finished the ongoing battle against the Netherlands. Felipe has made many reforms in economic sense.
Felipe gave American natives a choice. Indigenous people could vote for Spain or vote for independence. But this event caused the rebellion against Felipe in Spain. Because of these revolts Felipe has canceled these elections.
Felipe died in 1621.
