Charles believed that the king of England was a divine force. Charles believed that parliament was unnecessary. Because every decision Charles took was a divine decision. On this account Charles annulled the British parliament. In addition, Charles plans to abolish the Scottish parliament. But the English lords started a great rebellion against Charles. And the rebels arrested Charles as prisoners.
Charles ran away from the trap. And Charles tried to build his own army. But Charles could not create a powerful army. And Charles was imprisoned by the lords for the second time. Charles continued to see himself as a divine force. Many lords tried to negotiate with Charles. When the rebels gave up these thoughts of Charles, he stated that Charles would continue to live as a king. But Charles did not give up on his belief.
In 1649, Charles began to be tried for treason. For the first time in England, a king was on trial. But Charles did refuse the court. Charles stated that no one would judge him. But the court found Charles to be guilty. And Charles was executed by a court order.
