I just finished a 9.016km running that lasted about 0hh:40mm:19ss !

I had the great idea to eat a piece of cheesecake with my late afternoon coffee, not even a big one, just a regular slice. Surprisingly, it is not the best pre-run source of energy :). When I went for my run a little later, I could feel that cheesecake weighing me down the whole time. I can't say I won't make that same mistake because I have a history of not learning from my mistakes, and cheesecake is just too good to resist!

Legs were also quite sore, particularly my hamstrings again. And very early into the run, I started feeling a sharp pain in my right knee. Because I'm very stubborn (and maybe a little bit of a dumbass sometimes), I ran through the pain. But I definitely have to monitor that. Just after posting this, I will ice my knee. Hopefully the pain goes away as fast as it appeared. I'm thinking of wrapping my thighs for the night also, to help for the hamstrings recovery. And yes, I really hope I can find the motivation for a good stretching session tomorrow.

With all that, my pace was still pretty good around 7:12 min/mile according to Strava (7:16 according to Samsung Health??). I started significantly faster than last few runs, and I'm glad I managed to maintain a decent pace the whole way. I chose a route I used to run often in the past. It's almost a loop, which is always better in my opinion. I remember a few years ago, with much less training than now, I was so much faster on that route! All the more reason to keep training now. Also need a lot more sleep and a better diet, but that's a lot of changes at once, I'll have to improve it gradually.

Weather was a typical surprising Michigan day. Around 65F, that's more than 25 degrees warmer than yesterday. So, definitely shorts and T-shirt only. Not sure what else is in the forecast for the rest of the week. You never know here.

I'll probably rest tomorrow, with some stretching like I said, maybe a little bit of weight lifting. And hopefully, I can go for another good run on Wednesday.
Till then, keep Exhausting!
