The new not being new-new. It was used, something happened, it was dumped, exported, imported, and eventually, an acquaintance of mine was selling it as a side quest going along his family's business.
Among the bunch of iron horses, it was the one that drew my attention.
Look, Ma! No hands!
And here it is, The Black Knight.
Its frame says it's aluminum. It was kind of light. Relatively light. That's one of the reasons I decided to buy it. I guess I saw some potential in it. It was the kind of frame and general design I was looking for...except that I was also looking for something else.
I'd buy an urban style or something that runs faster on the road and is more comfortable at the same time. There was actually one such bicycle in the bunch but it was quite heavy and I said I would not rush.
But eventually I did. And I had to replace a tire. Other things to fix, things to learn how to fix...
But the Black Knight is on my side now.
So, today I left work late and it was near dusk. Still, I took a street going up and ending in a panorama area above the whole town. A little bit uphill in the beginning but later I felt it was worth it.
I wonder if I should go on a bike buying spree now that gas is getting expensive. This shall hardly be the first time for it or the last time. But having bikes to spare might be a good idea soon enough.
Peace and High Velocity!
