Modificaciones corporales y marca personal / Body modifications and personal branding
@myfantasy,
@lifeblue,
@iraink y
驴Hasta donde ser铆an capaces de llegar? Los leo en la caja de comentarios.
In one way or another, we constantly make changes to our bodies that evidently affect how others see us. Haircuts, trims, weight changes, breast or buttock enhancements, even the way we dress, all add up to what ultimately becomes our personal brand.
All of this, combined with our personality and acquired knowledge, becomes what identifies us, but obviously, the physical appearance will be the first and foremost, which is why it is so important to think very carefully when considering any significant bodily modification.
In the world of tattoos and piercings, we can find countless ways to modify our bodies either fully or partially, without necessarily signaling a radical change in our image.
In many countries in America, it is increasingly common to see people with tattoos and piercings, which instead of appearing shocking and noteworthy, are now part of the entire community living in a city. In other places, it is a process that is gradually gaining acceptance, although these may also hold meanings beyond just aesthetic appearances.
But what happens when those changes go to the extreme?
They are hardly overlooked, and that's when the achievements of art on the skin seem to disappear in the eyes of regular critics.
Therefore, it is crucial for tattoo artists and body piercers to consider that their clients are not just individuals with a purpose that must be blindly fulfilled, as in many cases, psychological factors may drive them to make such decisions.
I remember when I got my tattoo done (a minimalist bracelet design), the tattoo artist asked me many times before starting, not only if I was sure about what I wanted, but also about the meaning it held for me. Perhaps just to chat and ease the nerves of a first-timer, but I also saw it as a responsible approach to the procedure.
Do all artists do that? It would be interesting to hear the opinions of @danigada18,
@myfantasy,
@lifeblue,
@iraink, and
@loapaz among the many Hivers who have made this art a way to express themselves on others' skin.
And what do you think about it? Should there be a limit when it comes to body modifications? How far would you go? I'll be reading your comments below.
