Han pasado 7 años desde que compré un celular nuevo, justo llegando de Venezuela con uno que solo funcionaba conectado al interruptor de corriente, por lo que esa fue mi primera inversión apenas llegué a Argentina. Era de una marca no conocida, pero se ajustaba a mi presupuesto, y en aquel entonces a mis necesidades de estar comunicada con mi familia y amigos que quedaron en mi país.

Me funcionó muy bien hasta que se me mojó y hasta ahí llegó, pues la placa había que traerla de Brasil y resultaba tan costosa como comprar uno nuevo acá, por lo que me tocó estar casi un año sin teléfono hasta que logré reunir un poco y comprarme un motorola E5 de segunda mano, que es el que me ha acompañado hasta ahora, siendo realmente un amigo más fiel que Woody el de ToyStory.

Pero como nada es eterno, ya está pidiendo cambio de batería, de pin de carga, y su memoria de 2 Gb empieza a dar signos de generar alzheimer, pues para todas las aplicaciones que uso actualmente, le cuesta seguirme el ritmo (creo que eso es más problema mio que del celular, pues nadie me logra seguir el paso), así que toca empezar a ver precios y modelos de aparatos para sustituirlo antes de que termine nuevamente incomunicada, aunque no por la misma razón.

En días pasados mientras estaba por el centro de la ciudad de Lomas de Zamora, atiné a ubicar algunas tiendas que venden celulares, pero no me detuve con calma a revisar las cualidades de los teléfonos, solo vi los precios para calcular de cuánto debía ser mi presupuesto.

Y aunque confieso que me dio demasiado dolor hacerlo, activé un power down de mi cuenta de Hive para tener los fondos necesarios para esta adquisición que no es un lujo, sino una herramienta de trabajo importante para mi. Una vez depositado en mi cuenta, paré el power down y aunque quería correr a las tiendas, las condiciones climáticas me frenaron durante todo el fin de semana.

Hoy, luego de mi jornada laboral me fui directo a los sitios que ya había visitado para detenerme a ver y preguntar detalles, buscando el que más se adecuara a mis necesidades laborales y el presupuesto que tenía. He de confesar que quería unos hermosos con memoria de elefante, colores llamativos y demás, pero mi yo responsable me llevaba de vuelta al carril (aunque soñar no cuesta nada)

Me sorprendió que en las 4 tiendas que visité tenían el mismo modelo, pero la diferencia de precios entre una y otra, me daban la razón cuando pensaba que siempre es mejor ver en varios lugares y no comprar en la primera tienda. Lo mejor es que encontré uno ideal para todas las cosas que debo hacer, y que no solo se ajusta al presupuesto sino que hasta me queda un poco extra, para ponerle también el hidrogel antes de sacarlo de la tienda, ya que al hacer una inversión de este calibre, siempre es bueno que vaya protegido.

Al momento de preguntar por los celulares de oferta, me dicen que hay 3 con el mismo costo, pero entonces pedí recomendación al vendedor y en lugar del Motorola E15 (que vendría a ser el hermano más reciente del que ya tenía) me sugirió el Samsung A06, al cual solo habría que comprarle el cargador.

Como tenía que pasar por mi hijo a la escuela, y quería revisarlo todo bien antes de pagar, quedé con el chico de ir mañana directo a buscarlo, así que pronto se viene también un unboxing de mi nuevo equipo luego de 7 años de espera por un celular nuevo de paquete.

A few days ago, while I was in downtown Lomas de Zamora, I managed to locate some stores that sell cell phones, but I didn't stop to calmly check the features of the phones; I just looked at the prices to calculate how much my budget should be.

And although I confess that it pained me to do so, I activated a power down on my Hive account to have the necessary funds for this purchase, which is not a luxury but an important work tool for me. Once the money was deposited in my account, I stopped the power down, and although I wanted to rush to the stores, the weather conditions kept me from doing so throughout the weekend.

Today, after work, I went straight to the places I had already visited to stop and look and ask for details, looking for the one that best suited my work needs and my budget. I must confess that I wanted some beautiful ones with elephant memory, bright colors, and so on, but my responsible self brought me back to reality (although dreaming costs nothing).

I was surprised that the four stores I visited had the same model, but the difference in prices between them proved me right when I thought it's always better to look in several places and not buy at the first store.

The best part is that I found one that's perfect for everything I need to do, and not only does it fit my budget, but I even have a little extra left over to put hydrogel on it before taking it out of the store, because when you make an investment of this magnitude, it's always good to protect it.

When I asked about the phones on sale, they told me there were three at the same price, but then I asked the salesperson for a recommendation and instead of the Motorola E15 (which would be the latest version of the one I already had), he suggested the Samsung A06, for which I would only need to buy the charger.

Since I had to pick up my son from school and wanted to check everything carefully before paying, I agreed with the salesperson to come back tomorrow to pick it up, so soon there will also be an unboxing of my new device after seven years of waiting for a new cell phone.
