Many studies show that curcuma (or turmeric) may help with different ailments. In Ayurvedic and ancient Chinese medicine curcuma was used for its anti inflammatory use. Curcuma may also help with digestive problems, pain relief, improving liver function and possible reduction of risk of some cancers. Curcuma is also a strong anti oxidant and it helps improve brain function.
You can make a drink with curcuma , called golden paste. To make this:
1/2 cup curcuma powder
1 cup of water
1/3 cup coconut oil
1 1/2 tablespoon black pepper
Cook the water with the curcuma for 5 minutes. Cool down and add the coconut oil and pepper and stir until the coconut oil is melted. Now it's ready. Take a tablespoon of golden paste and mix with warm milk to drink.
It's easy to grow in the garden, harvest the root and make powder.
