The Lunchtime Lurker:

3.jpg

(This isn't her but the closest image I could find on Google Image search of the same look)

Several years ago I was out in the mall with my eldest daughter, she was about 6 months old at the time. It was lunch time and I made ourselves comfy in the Food Court and went about prepping her lunch, it was just a spoon and a squeezie packet of fruit. Once my girl was all bibbed up I started spooning the gloopy stuff in, no dramas just happily chatting to her.

While this was happening a random old lady walks towards us and watches me feed my daughter, not just a quick glimpse but a full on stare. My daughter notices her and after a few moments starts to fuss and then cry. Knowing that only a few moments ago she was okay and in the meantime I am trying to calm her down, I hinted to the lady that could she please leave us so I can settle my child. At this point I realise this woman has a few problems of some type and she isn't getting the hint. So I pack up my girl with her lunch, and move away to another spot to finish up and my daughter is much happier.
