Entry 1
Hello everyone, my name is Maegy and I love to procrastinate.
I am writing this so I can hold myself accountable for the dreams I do not achieve and the goals I do not smash all because I told myself, I will do it tomorrow.
I don't know when I started this terrible habit but every time, I have found myself sliding back time and time again.
At the start of the year, I started feeling restless in my soul and I knew I had to find a way to start blaming myself for all the dreams I HAD within me being buried and not sharing them with the world.
They say the best way to be a better writer is to write every day. I have failed on this many times. I don't even read as much as I wanted. This causes me to fear deeply.
I am so scared that as my 20s gradually get to an end and I venture into my 30s, I may not be able to say I did. I owe myself that much so I can gladly enter the 3rd floor with no regret.
I had a conversation with 2 friends of mine today and I can say I have found what I was searching for all this while. I have been afraid to put myself out there. Not that I wasn't good enough, no. It was because it was more comfortable to be in the shadows and cheering everyone on. It ends today.
Today, I will like to take the bull by the horn and call myself out on the times I sold myself short or settled for less in the name of playing safe.
If you are like me and will want to overcome procrastination, I will be sharing my journey through this format. I promise to write at least once a week. As I get better at accountability, the number of entries will increase.
I hope you stick with me on this journey.
xoxo
Maegy.
