Hello guys, welcome to another episode of "I am my own designer" 馃榾馃檭.
Well, I decided to give myself a treat with this design denim fabric I got from the market. I loved the design of this denim, it looked unique so I decided to get it for myself, and create sometime for my own cloth.
I wanted to have some fun with this fabric and combine it with a black leftover denim I used for my last project. So I didn't know exactly what I wanted to sew but I wanted it different from what I already had so I laid down the fabric and input my measurements and started cutting.
I started the cutting from the top, I did a T-shirt kind of top because the fabric won't be enough for a denim jacket.
Then the trouser was to be very free on me. So the the black will come at the side of it
After cutting I went straight to the machine and started sewing from the trouser, I did the pockets and then joined the black part to it.
I wanted to have some fun with the trouser so I made some cords and attached them to the sides.
After attaching them successfully, I closed up the trouser seams and see how it turned out below:
So yeah, it looked nice, at least but I thought it was too big and too busy and it's going to draw too much attention so I decided to adjust it.
I took out the cords and I reduced the black I used at the side so to reduce the size of the trouser.
I loved the outcome of the trouser, so I made the top a bit cropped and there, the outfit was ready as you see below:
I loved how it turned out this time, and I was happy to have completed it. The fabric wasn't much of a hard work because it's not too thick unlike other denim fabrics I've worked with and It didn't take much time for me to finish, let's say everything took me about 3-4 hours.
Tell me what do you think about it, was the first trouser more of your liking than this one. For me this one feels more comfortable and I'm happy to have worked on this.
