The amazing and talented amberjyang@amberjyang recently interviewed me about my science fiction novels. The final cut is just under twenty minutes long. Most of it was unscripted and the tone is conversational. "The real key to unlock a better future has got to be grounded in, I would say, a radical consciousness shift," is probably my favorite thing that I said.

I'm thrilled to have this video as it makes it easier to share my writing with people. It also means that my new author website now includes a structured discussion about all of my books. And collaborating with Amber was an absolute joy. This interview is soooo much better than the videos I've tried to make about my work on my own. In those, I mostly just read facts off a script, which isn't super entertaining.

The funniest part of this was when I was going through all of the novels I've written and I completely forgot about Small Gods of Time Travel. Like, who writes a whole book and then forgets about it? Fortunately, Amber caught the omission right away and let me know.

The most challenging part of the interview was trying to sum up The 321 Incident, as this work was finished so recently that I'm still figuring out how to best talk about it. What I ended up saying was okay, but I wonder if it could've been clearer.

One thing I should do for future videos is figure out a better lighting situation. My bedroom's bright white floodlight makes me look unusually pale. Maybe I'll make some kind of yellow filter for my light to use in future videos.

Overall, I'm entirely pleased with how this interview ended up. And thanks again to amberjyang@amberjyang, who did all of the heavy lifting, from asking the questions to handling all of the editing. This video totally wouldn't have happened without her. Thank you Amber!
