A quick thought. There are two sides to anarchy as model of thinking. Oh, full spectrum between them too of course, but for now, let's talk about just two.
One is about seeing The System as generally bad, coercive, enslaving, limiting, serving only small group of people, System that if falls today it won't be even a second too early. And probably much too late. And then we are free, and stuff will work out. We as humans have amazing capabilities for cooperation and self-organization will make new order emerge. New order not based on structures of power, hopefully, but skills, common interests, co-creation of wellbeing for us and our planet. Hopefully. It is perfectly possible. We humans are amazing creatures and we can make it happen.
The other model of thinking barely realizes that it is, in nature, anarchical. In that Bitcoin meeting I mentioned in my previous post - the ideas flying around were never named "anti-state", but collapse of banking industry[0] was inherent in them. Inevitable. Logical consequence of new system emerging is putting old system to sleep.
The difference? Imagine a huge slab of concrete. Blocking life underneath from rising up. The first model of thinking wants to use dynamite to get rid of this obstacle now. Because it's been too long already, and anger is burning bright in our hearts.
The second model sees cracks in the concrete and plants tiny seeds in them. And then watch how mighty trees do the same job. Slower, less spectacular, less, um, satisfying :) But on the other hand, when we just blow stuff up we have a hole in the ground and piles of smithereens to clean up. With trees we have smithereens dissolving and disappearing, destroyed by something better, and we don't have that "just a hole in the ground" period of turbulence when old system is gone, but we still have to figure out what to do now.
Just a thought. And now I'm off, need to plant some seeds...
Edit: the subject. What I wanted to say that the first model of thinking is based on an Enemy. The second is of course not blind to the nature of our system, but is based on creation of something much better, knowing that better system will destroy and undermine the old one, an outcome should be exactly the same. Emergence of new order, where humans are free and the Earth is safe. And we reach the stars. I don't want to concentrate on fighting the enemies, because doing so ensures that there will be more enemies. And more fighting. And probably less creativity and love.
[0] "Banking industry" expression should make you as angry as "health industry" or "religion industry". They are manifestations of ideas that can be immensely positive, but once industrialized they become tools of oppression. Think chairs and electric chairs.
