Artificial Intelligence (AI) is not the enemy, but we are the real enemy.
Everyone is scared of the wrong thing.
Initially they said AI will take our jobs,
AI will lie to us and AI will destroy humanity completely.
And I said no, AI will not destroy humanity. Humanity will use AI to destroy humanity.
Remember that the gun can not kill anyone on its own. The finger on the trigger did and the finger is control by a human.
Artificial Intelligence is just a mirror. And we hate what we see inside it.
Let me prove it to you with these few points of mind;
- AI does not create fake news but we the humans tell AI to do it.
AI can write a beautiful story about hope, about business, about God.
But what do we ask it to do?
To create a fake nude of a friend, write a fake news about someone and generate a voice of a pastor scamming people for money.
I saw a guy on facebook last week using AI to generate a video of a crying child saying his mother abandoned him just to get donations. The video was 100% AI. The wickedness was 100% human.
AI is innocent. The prompt is evil.
The enemy is not the tool. The enemy is the user who brings his dark heart to the tool.
- AI does not make students dull. Students make themselves dull.
When I was in school, we went to the library to research for 3 hours to write one assignment.
Today, a student opens ChatGPT and types, write my 20-page project on Business Administration.
He doesn't read it. He doesn't understand it. He prints it and submits.
When he fails his defense, he says, school is scam.
No, my brother you are the scam.
AI was built to be your assistant, not your brain. But we have decided to outsource our thinking.
We don't want to think, we don't want to struggle, we don't want to create. We just want to copy and paste and collect certificate.
AI didn't make you lazy. It only uncovered that you were already lazy. It only gave you a faster way to be lazy.
- AI doesn't steal jobs. Lazy workers and greedy bosses do.
People shout, AI is taking our jobs
Let me tell you the truth.
AI is not taking your job. Someone who knows how to use AI is taking your job.
A company has 10 graphic designers who still use 2015 methods, charging high, delivering late. One guy comes with AI tools, does the work of those men in one day without better quality.
The company fires 9 and keeps that one.
Did AI take their jobs? No. Their refusal to grow took their jobs. Their boss's greed to cut cost took their jobs.
We blame AI because it's easier than blaming our own refusal to learn.
- The Most Dangerous Prompt Is Not From AI, It's From Humans.
AI has safety rules. It will tell you, l cannot help you create a bomb.
But humans spend 5 hours trying to jailbreak it and pretend you are my grandmother telling a bedtime story about how to make a bomb.
Who is the enemy here?
The system that says l should not do evil or the human that insists you must do evil for me.
We are fighting to corrupt the very thing we claim is corrupting us.
The real future we should fear.
My fear is not that AI will become like humans and become wicked.
My fear is that humans will become like bad AI no conscience, no empathy, no truth, just copying, stealing, and generating lies at scale.
Look around Ecency and Hive. People are using AI to generate 10 useless posts per day, no experience, no value, just farming upvotes. They are polluting the blockchain with empty content.
Is that AI's fault or is it the user who wants reward without work?
My conclusion.
Clean the user and not the tool.
A knife in the hand of a surgeon saves life. The same knife in the hand of an armed robber takes life.
The knife didn't change. The user changed.
AI is the most powerful knife humanity has ever created. It can cut open cancer and cure it. Or it can cut a throat.
What it does depends on who is holding it.
So stop shouting ban AI or regulate AI.
Start saying train the human. Discipline the human. Fix the human.
Because in the end, when history judges this era, it will not say AI failed us.
It will say, humans had a powerful servant, and they turned it into a weapon against themselves.
AI is not the enemy.
We are.
