How I Embrace Constant Environment Change and Not Loosing My Mind

     My Unconventional Routine

If you’ve moving around quite often, you might have a problem with adjusting once in a while. Sometimes you feel like you don’t really have a stability and crave for it. Only after years, I come to terms that my life works differently and I operate differently and that’s okay. I used to want to fit in really bad just because everyone said this and that. But now, as I come to terms with a lot of things in my life and stop trying to fit in, I found the perfect routine that really works for me. It doesn’t really throw me off and makes me confused, it’s just perfect especially when I am changing my environment again.

It took me many years to come to this routine but it’s something that truly works for my sanity and brain. I am basically living when the rest of the people around me are awake and asleep when the rest of the people around me are busy outside. One might think that I don’t get enough sunlight and such but I actually do and 8 hours sleep as well. I talked about this a lot in the past, about building habits. But since I found this kind of habit that I started when I was traveling, it sort of worked. I get the best of both worlds.

When I move back to my apartment, it really is that dark and so quiet. But with the same routine, I manage to keep myself on the loop without breaking it. In the past, I used to change my routine and habits a lot that makes me never really feel like I have a habit or routine. Environment doesn’t really matter much to me anymore as I found key points like not eating rice excessively and working out even though it’s pitch dark. For a lot of people working out makes them more active but to me, I get this comfortable feeling that I just want to sleep and rest. So, the perfect workout for me is during the night or before sleep time. Unfortunately, in the past due to my perfectionism, I was only working out at the gym and there’s no gym that opens 24/7. Now, since I am focusing on running and jogging, I am okay with doing it at 4 -5 AM when it’s not too bright and not too dark outside. It doesn’t matter where I’ll be, that routine is a lot easier to do.

My eating time is often once or twice a day and there’s only dinner + breakfast for me. It works really well considering I live in GMT +7. I would also only sleep a few hours after meals and try to get some work done or watch movies that I need to review later on. When I have these routines, I feel like I have so much time that it’s why I’ve been around Hive a lot more than I normally am. The only downside of all this is that I can hang out with my family or friends always after 2PM or somewhere around 4 PM. I consider that a good thing since technically, everyone else in the family was also just returning from work, or outside. With this new thing I have found, I find it a lot easier surviving through a different environment compared to how I used to.
