First of all, I want to say in a very timely manner that I am not going to refer to either the left or the right, nor to capitalism, communism, socialism or any political ideology. First because I understand that there are many susceptible people, when we talk about certain ideologies or in essence of power, which in itself, encompasses many aspects of our lives, as citizens with full rights.
I believe that, from my point of view, the power from the political and religious, has been for millions of years that our society has, one of the great causes, for global conflicts of all kinds. The power that in most of the times is given by the people, who trust their vote and their hopes, in a person who possibly has the qualities to exercise that power.
The power has shown negatively, whether they want to or not, corrupts to a greater or lesser degree, there is no society where corruption does not harm. Of course, in some countries corruption has a free wheel to do whatever it pleases. The power has demonstrated in the same way, that it makes people sick who is granted and spreads like a virus quickly and silently.
For example, one of the areas of the world, where power is misused and used in turn, to benefit and accumulate large capitals, which end in so-called tax havens. It is the Latin American society, where in many of its countries the corruption of its rulers is evident, those that when they are in their electoral campaigns, which I consider a lousy show of supposed democracy. They talk about how they will attack corruption and how they will create a system of government that does not fall into bureaucracy.
But when they are already in power, they end up in an unfortunate way, being surrounded by those same powers that have many years, living off the corruption and abuse of their citizens. And as you can see, when it comes to corruption, it has nothing to do with the political ideology of the governments of the day, but rather, that corruption is the product of a culture incubated for many years and that unfortunately has endured over time.
We have become accustomed, to remain silent and to be complacent, with those who abuse the power given by us. Obviously I understand that government systems must exist, to prevent that society from falling into total anarchy. But the big question is ¿how should that power be distributed? Possibly the solution lies in that this power is distributed and is not only in a few hands, as is the case in most of the world's governments. Our society has to understand that when it comes to governing and fulfilling our responsibilities as citizens, we have an obligation to enforce our rights above all. And do not allow leaders who have triumphed through speeches that are mostly false promises and that some even reach the point of making promises that reach the utopian.
They are the only ones who end up benefiting from those power honeys, taking much of the cake and leaving the crumbs to their citizens. It is clear that as a society we have a big problem to solve, sometimes the solutions do not go by the ideological, but rather by common sense, that which is there, but rarely applied.
