This is a game that was hard for me to understand and I actually played it very little, but my friends spent many hours immersed in the virtual world of the characters they created.
Way ahead of its time, a kind of primitive augmented reality, it controlled people in all areas of their existence, even in love.
I was a fan of Sim City and this game was from the same company called Maxis who released it through Electronis Arts in 2000.
In this game, as I wrote earlier, players can create and control their own virtual characters, known as Sims, and guide them through different aspects of life, such as building houses, fulfilling their basic needs and managing their relationships.
Players can customise their Sims' appearance, from their hairstyle and clothing to their personality traits.
In addition, Sims have needs that must be met, such as eating, sleeping, socialising and having fun.
As Sims interact with each other and engage in different activities, they can develop relationships, start families, and even advance their careers.
The Sims has been a huge success since its initial release and has spawned numerous expansions and sequels, including The Sims 2, The Sims 3 and The Sims 4.
Since then, The Sims has been released on numerous consoles and platforms, including PlayStation 2, Xbox, GameCube, Nintendo DS, Wii, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and most recently on the PC and Mac platform.
In addition, mobile versions of The Sims have also been released for iOS and Android devices, allowing players to enjoy the Sims experience on their phones and tablets.
Personally I think it was the most advanced thing in simulation that year.
