Tibia is one of the oldest MMORPGs, created by the German company Cipsoft. The game was released in 1997 and still has a huge following around the world. Most of the players come from Poland and Brazil. In the game, you play as a character whom you develop by gaining experience through killing monsters and completing quests, and the game world is truly vast.
Players can choose from five character classes: Monk, Mage, Paladin, Knight, and Druid. Unlike newer titles, Tibia stands out for its distinctive 2D graphics. The graphics may seem simple, but the game is actually quite complex; the large open world can be overwhelming for new players. Quests are truly complex and lengthy, and require a really good understanding of the game to complete them properly.
In Tibia, player-to-player trading is common—buying and selling equipment, forming guilds, and building their own communities. Many players choose to play solo, but the game strongly encourages us to go on hunts with a full party. That’s why this game has such a great atmosphere and brings players together. You can meet a lot of really cool, interesting people here and make friends.
Tibia has been on the market for a really long time, and its popularity remains high. I discovered this game when I was a little boy. I don’t play it regularly, but every few years I come back to enjoy the game, see what updates have been released, and check out what new and cool things the game developers have come up with for us.
In my upcoming posts, I plan to regularly give you a behind-the-scenes look at the game and share my adventures in the World of Tibia! Is there anyone here who has played or is still playing this game? Let me know!
