I received a pretend letter yesterday, from a pretend 6 year old boy.
He asked me this:
If my daddy has to go to jail for not paying his tax's, does this mean that the tax man is a bully, and is stealing off him?
p.s.
I don't want my daddy to go to jail for not paying tax, as my Mom says she will have to go to bed in the daytime's with lots of lonely men'
Without further ado, we got in touch with an 'expert' on the subject and set up a video link so little Tommy could ask him directly.

After some time pondering this very simple question (and referring to several books written by other 'experts'), this was his response..
He then said to little Tommy:
'I'm an expert, and you are just a little boy so you must believe me.
Paying tax is the law, so it must be right, or it would not be the law.
Even a stupid little boy like you can understand that.
.... And do you have a photo's of your Mommy handy?'
Little Tommy sent him a picture.
