Why Do Female Children Seem To Love Their Father More Than Their Mother?

daddy's girl. If Daddy says no, everywhere will scatter. If Mummy says no, she will still go and meet Daddy.

Father is her first hero.
For a small girl, her father is the first man that shows her what love from a man should look like. He is strong, he protects, he lifts her up. So she naturally clings to him.

Mothers are always around and strict.
Mummy is the one who says wash plates, do assignment, don't go there.
Mummy corrects every day. So daughter sees mummy as discipline.

Daddy comes, buys biscuit, carries her, says leave her alone.
Of course she will love daddy more at that moment.

Fathers pamper daughters more.
Most fathers are soft with their daughters. He can shout at the sons, but with his daughter he will calm down.
That pampering creates a strong bond.

The daughter reminds father of his own mother/wife.
Many men see their little girl as a princess. They give her the soft love they didn't get as a boy.

But the truth is
That girl still loves her mother deeply.
She will run to father for gifts and protection, but she will run to mother for comfort, for gist, for secrets.

As she grows older, she understands that mummy was not wicked, mummy was training her.

Father gives her confidence to face the world.
Mother gives her wisdom to stay in the world.

She needs both. She loves both, just in different ways.
