I mentioned an attack on one of my sites a few days ago.
While only slightly irritating to me it's not the case for others. Far from it in fact.
It turned out ok, and the problem was easily fixed.
What I didn't mention at the time (because I didn't know), was that the 'taking down', (or the 'restriction of use', rather), was entirely due to an outside source causing trouble for me.
I was specifically targeted, no one else.
This has never happened to me before on this site. (in nearly 20 years).
Yet again, my business was interfered with - at exactly the same times as I was 'in a fight' on this platform.(steem) (throw out the claims of 'paranoia' as much as you like)
Coincidence?
Maybe.
But I tend to think not.
Delusions of grandeur and some kind of persecution complex?
Not in the slightest, just cold hard math and 'coincidences'.
The specific account that I'm talking about here (with the newly 'enforced restrictions' on it) is one that I've had for a long time and I've have always had a good working relationship with them... for nearly two decades.
The other thing with this site, is that I know someone 'on the inside', as it were.
And they told me the reasons as to why what happened, happened.
Which is very cool...
First of all, it just confirms to me what I thought about 'certain things' already. So no surprise there.
Secondly - and far more importantly for me - is that it gave me a kick up the arse!
My life is easy you see, and there have been no serious hassles for quite some time now, only good things -- such as starting up my home delivery Indian food take away, and then selling the whole thing only a few months later (selling was a very good lucky move, as it turned out!).
It's all been good since the rough patch a couple of years back.
That's life.
Ups and downs.
It's how you deal with them that matters.
What seems like alchemy to some, is not that at all.
It's having the commons sense and motivation, to turn shit situations into good ones.
Transforming negative occurrences into positive outcomes.
It's only alchemy to those that cannot see.
(if you think about it, it's just like how 'the lefties' cannot see the 'magic' of the free market at work and instead, feel the need to try and control it.... That kind of thing)
There is no alchemy involved, just a lack on vision on the part of those that cannot work it out....
A fundamental vacuum of intellectual creativity.
Anyways....
After my last 'hassles' (which were serious at the time), I re-adjusted my business models so as to not be as vulnerable. I expanded a lot, and then let them run themselves pretty much.
Up until this last problem, that is...
Because I'm no longer motivated by money, (or power), and because the business side of things was looking after itself, I took my eye off the ball so to speak.
Which is fine with how things were set up - until somebody wanted to make trouble for me.
After fixing the initial problem, I had to look at other options to stop this happening again.
(Financially speaking , this wasn't a major issue for me, but it was to other people that I was helping....And I didn't want this crap happening to them).
So just like the last time, it forced me to reappraise the situation.
In the last negative 'occurrence', I changed my model so that my income streams, (percentage wise), were diversified into a lot more into crypto income .
I'm no longer motivated by 'empire building'. (Been there, and then walked ran away from that illusion, as fast as possible).
The downside of not being motivated to 'win the game' any longer, also means that I don't keep abreast of things as much as I could.... Of new technologies, new platforms, and new ...well, anything really.
This latest episode however, made me do exactly that.
....is all I can say really.
There is a fucking lot of things going on out there, that have passed me right by.
After only a couple of days of researching and restructuring things, (utilizing a lot of the tools that I'd missed), I've turned the malicious actions of some sad loser, into some serious gold mining opportunities!
My income will increase a lot, over these coming weeks...
......All because I received a 'kick up the arse' from some loser with nothing better to do than to try and cause me shite.
(and who probably thought that they were being clever in doing so).
So thanks to the idiot, I'm about to become wealthier.
