My Actifit Report Card: November 2 2019: (The discovery of a new running route.)
It's been five months since I moved to Jos, and in all that time, I've had only one route, mostly because I'm scared of going to places I'm not familiar with. Somehow, the natives here just look at me and know that I'm a foreigner, it's bothersome, and often creepy, given that I dislike and constantly try to avoid unnecessary attention.
However, today I tried a new route, I figured that since it was late morning, and the sun was gathering its strength for the day's shine, a tall, light skinned boy in short shorts and running shoes, walking briskly and singing along to the music blasting from his airpods, wouldn't draw too much attention. I discovered that the road ran through open fields of maize, and scarcely scattered houses, with a generally beautiful landscape, I loved it.
Even though a couple of heads turned, and made me overly conscious of the environment, I've decided to make that road my running route during evenings.
