What to wear and what not to wear when you exercise.
I have noticed that the new exercisers which come to the gym often wear something what I would not recommend.
1. Do not wear something you don't feel comfortable in. For example something too tight or too short. You don't need that all people stare at you. You came to gym to do your best workout and not on fashion show.
For me the best choice are leggings and a simple shirt.
2. Always wear sneakers. Don't wear nothing else but sneakers. And always wear socks! Otherwise you can get feet fungus.
3. If you are going outside to workout, especially durring winter, wear layered outfits, so you can slowly take off if it gets to warm.
4. Do not work out without underwear. This may seem ridicioulus for someone but some people really do that. It is simply not hygienic, and it is not aesthetically appealing either.
I also recommend replacing a regular bra with sports because it gives you more support and comfort.
5. Take care of your hair. If it's long, raise it into pony tail or the bun, and if it's a short use strap to keep from falling into your eyes.
6. I recommend to work out without makeup. Let your skin breath when you workout.
Again, you're not on fashion show. Who cares you're without make up.
7. When exercising, remove jewelery, it can be very dangerous. Your bracelets, earrings or watches may break or cause you to be injured. Not to mention the fact that you sweat while exercising, and with that sweat you can damage your jewelry.
8. Practice in clean clothes, especially if you sweat alot during exercising. It is better that you have more sets of exercise clothes that you rotate, rather than exercising in one treasured garment. One thing is to sweat in clean clothes and the other is when you sweat in something that has already been sweat before. Not only you're gona feel it but the others will too.
9. It is useful in your exercise equipment to have a small towel, for covering the benches in the gym or for sweeping the sweat.
10. To avoid dehydration during exercise, I recommend that you always carry a bottle of water. During exercise you sweat and so you loose a lot of fluids. It is therefore important to drink small fluids constantly, no matter if you feel thirst, because once you feel it, it is a sign that dehydration has begun. To avoid that, you should constantly dring sip of water.
