Lineup Lab: Modern brackets and No Mans Land

Lineup Lab now has six explicit Modern ranked bracket choices and support for No Mans Land. If you have been working out which lineups fit your bracket, or what to play when Human cards are unavailable, there is more you can study in the lab.

I opened Lineup Lab to the community in July as a free tool for exploring completed Splinterlands battles. You can import a match, change the teams or tactics, and see how the simulated outcomes change. These additions bring more of the game's lineup restrictions into that process.

Study a lineup within your bracket

The six choices are Wood / Novice, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Diamond and Champion. Select the ranked battle context and the Modern bracket you want to study, then validate the lineup against its level ranges. That matters when you are trying an idea you actually want to use in your own games.

From there, you can try a different card or tactic while keeping the bracket in mind. It is a useful way to revisit a completed match without losing track of the restrictions that shaped your choices in the first place.

No Mans Land

Lineup Lab also now supports No Mans Land, which excludes Human Archons and units. The restriction applies to the Archon as well as the rest of the team, so replacing one unit may not be enough to make a lineup valid.

That gives you a specific question to explore: how would you rebuild a familiar team when those cards are unavailable? Start with the restriction, find a valid setup, then look at how your remaining choices work together.

A simple way to try the additions

Paste a completed battle link or ID into Lineup Lab and choose Analyze Battle. Check the original setup, then select the Modern bracket you want to study or explore the No Mans Land restriction.

Keep the question small for the first comparison. Try one replacement or one tactic rather than rebuilding both teams at once. It is easier to learn something useful when you can see which decision changed the result.

Lineup Lab is for studying completed and hypothetical battles between games. You can take your time with the setup and explore ideas before bringing what you learn into future matches.

Reliability work has continued too

Recent fixes cover Dragon Breath's Burning effect on successful zero-damage hits, Reverse Speed tie ordering and Prophet Rosa tactics, alongside earlier card-picker, stat and other battle-interaction fixes.

The tool is still in beta. Focus, Volley and Adrenaline remain under review, and some interactions may differ from the game.

Try a battle at https://splintertools.com/lineup-lab and explore a lineup for your bracket or No Mans Land.

If something looks wrong, leave a comment with the battle link, selected bracket or ruleset, and the first interaction that differs. That gives me a useful starting point to check.

Have fun, and good luck out there.
