I know what you are thinking, another mushroom post? Well, I happened to take these lovely photos yesterday and then while scrolling through my feed saw the photography tag #fungifriday.. I took that as a sign that I had to do another mushroom post, I mean it’s Fungi Friday!!! Makes sense right? Yes, yes I thought so as well.
Fairytale Toadstools, officially called Fly Agaric (Amanita muscaria), are my absolute favorite fungi. They get their name from their natural ability to ward off flys, but they are better known as a magical addition to many fairytales.
You can find them burrowing their way out of the forest floor bursting with color...
Everywhere you look they have these intricate details that remind me to always look for the unseen beauty in nature...
And make sure to always be on the lookout for any fairies hanging out around these toadstools...
The Fly Agaric Mushroom is considered poisonous and therefore should not be consumed.
