Assalamu Alaikum How are you all, I hope you are well by the grace of Allah, I am also well, today I have come to you with a new video, which is Jilapi recipe. We actually came to buy fish, we bought two tilapia fish and we also bought many Jilapis, the Jilapis were very beautiful to look at and very tasty to eat. You will see that in different cities or rural areas, there are different fairs, many kinds of delicious food are prepared in those fairs, these foods are so tasty that it makes your tongue water. It is made by mixing flour, sugar and making it like juice.
I went there and saw various other dry foods besides jilapi, which I really liked, including chira muri khai batasa and everything else. The Turkish, Persian, Arab and Central Asian influences on the Indian diet are well known. So it is not surprising that the most popular sweet of the two Bengals, Bangladesh or West Bengal, also arrived in the same way. The age of jilapi in the Indian subcontinent is at least 500 years. Perhaps after the Persian-speaking Turks invaded India in the Middle Ages, jilapi came to this region at some point. And today, just like in West Asia, jilapi has various names. For example: jalebi, jilbi, jilepi, jilepi, jelapi, jelapir pak, imrati, jahangira, etc.
There are some characteristic differences between the original jilapi originating in West Asia and the jilapi of the Indian subcontinent. In the West Asian jilabia, flour, milk, and yogurt were whipped in a slightly different way. It was served with honey and rose water syrup. But it was only after arriving in the Indian subcontinent that the first jilapi became chewy, colorful, and sticky. Some of our own jilapi has also developed in Bangladesh. The most notable of these is a traditional version of jilapi produced in Chawkbazar in Old Dhaka, which is known as 'Shahi jilapi'. This special jilapi, which is a few inches in diameter and weighs up to one, one and a half, two, or two and a half kilograms, has become very popular in Dhaka, Chittagong, Khulna, and Sylhet, as well as throughout Bangladesh.
