My recent art works make me feel vibrant and colorful. Color excites me and I believe I am only able to paint this much because I can't exhaust the color wheel even if I tried. I'm happy to have enough time to try different things and I know what makes me giddy when I anticipate a final result.

I've settled on two main things for now. Stylization and color. I just enjoy transforming something to look conceptually different from the original piece, whether it's with the use of color or distorting the proportions. Even when I try to paint semi realistically, I feel it's necessary to have something abstract to complement things.

I think I've accomplished that with the piece below. The stylization and the play with color makes me happy. I don't tell people often because there's really no opportunity to insert this in conversation, but I look at what I've painted several times in a day just to inject some vibrancy and happiness. So painting really is a pleasurable activity for me.

Other variations of this painting which I got from manipulating the hue and saturation. It's hard to pick the one I like best even though I'd originally started from this one in purple
