So here's an article from the New York Times, telling us what most of us probably already knew: fruit juices are not your health friends.

As I've mentioned before, I started my (latest) fitness path...well, 70 days ago, according to the Lose It app. Now that I live by myself, it's been a lot easier to keep up with exercise and not having junk food in the house. But one of the most difficult things has been cutting out juices and soft drinks.
Now, I'll admit that I never drank a ton of them to begin with. Most of the time, I drank water (though never enough). But when it comes to meals, isn't it just nice to have something with flavor to go along with them? But those empty calories add up quickly! And I don't do artificial sweeteners, so those options are out.
I guess, therefore, that this doesn't impact me as much as it would have a few months ago. But it IS kind of funny how we consider things like orange juice to be better than soda. I guess the advertising campaigns worked on us way better than we thought they did!
