Rain, rain, and more rain is most welcome, as it's cooling down the scorched earth after some extremely hot and humid summery days in our subtropical climate.
A rainy Sunday is just what I needed following a hectic couple of weeks, so it's been a good excuse for comfort food and binge-watching tv-series.
Let's look at the garden first.
Some of our plants look like they're drowning, but will soon pick up their heads when the sun comes out!
Looking out my bedroom window when the rain eased off a bit, it looked like the sun was trying its utmost to pop its head out, but it was not to be, a rainy day Sunday it was going to stay!
The Tamarillos are ripening nicely; we've already had some of her fruit, and the Staghorn Fern is thriving with a Pigeonwood tree as its host.
The rain came back and the entire valley is looking misty, but it still is a #beautifulsunday.
Easter is just around the corner, but who wants to wait till then for a toasted spicy hot cross bun loaded with butter!
The smell of the homemade bread baking was divine, and hubby could not wait to dive in.
My curry leaf plant is thriving in the rain; come to think of it, a good spicy hot curry with that homemade bread would be perfect for a cold, wet and lazy #SublimeSunday.
The leaves from this plant are an absolute must when cooking a spicy veg curry in a hurry. I add it once the curry is cooked, and also use it as a garnish with fresh Dhania (Coriander).
I'll end off with this beautiful red rose especially for #alwaysaflower, although this was taken just before the rain came down!
I'll spend the rest of the day binge-watching tv series, guilt-free as everyone's been well-fed, and I hope you've enjoyed my very first post for @c0ff33a's #SublimeSunday and
@ace108's #BeautifulSunday.
This is day 10 of my attempt at #Hiveblopomo, an initiative of the awesome bizzy Queen Bee @traciyork, encouraging all Hivers to write a blog a day for the month of April. So far, so good, hope I reach Day 30!
