Over the weekend we were on a long drive. Not that it's become pleasant but it's still better then the past few months, so getting outdoors is a good break from the normal indoor weekends which we have been doing since the past few months. The seasons are becoming unpredictible year on year. The summers are extending and the winter period is shortening. Last week in Mumbai there was a heat wave annoucned which is so vague to hear. Anyways coming back to Muscat.
The plan was to go for a long drive in the outskirts of the city. Mountains would had been nice but we were doing a day trip so we selected a shorter route. The destination was getting to the beach, where there are cafes and we would spend some time there and get back. We left late in the afternoon when the sun was not directly on the head and it was a little pleasant.
This is a scenic route and the road is also amazing to drive. Not only the end destination but in-between also we made stops to get some pictures. Some years back when we used to come on this road we had clear view of the sea with these hills, but now there is lot of construction work going on and there are townships being built by the sea side, so part of the views are now getting blocked. There were viewing galleries previously on this road, those have also been removed now and the views are blocked up. It was a good spot for tourist. I do not understand why do they keep doing these things.

This is a resedential complex that you see. Such a wonderful view these people must be getting all day, absolutely no obstruction.
Weekends like these I love. This is just the beginning of the season, the next few months it's going to be a lot more adventure.
