Today has been a very quiet and cozy Sunday at home. I had actually thought about going out, but when I woke up in the morning, I just didn't feel the motivation to do it. I thought to myself: if it's cold, where am I going to sit? Everything is closed because it's a holiday. A Starbucks or some other coffee shop, maybe? Well, no, I didn't feel like spending money just to sit alone at a table surrounded by strangers. I’m sure all the cafés would be packed anyway, since there’s not much else to do today.

In reality, going for walks alone is something I enjoy, but lately, I’ve been quite sedentary due to a lack of motivation. Though it’s true that once I’m outside, I genuinely love watching the world and taking photos of every scene my eyes find beautiful or curious—which is practically everything around me. It’s a bit contradictory, isn’t it? But yes, unless I have a compelling reason like work or errands to run, it’s hard for me to leave the house. Especially when there are so many pending tasks right here inside my cave.

Today, for example, we made a major change in one of the rooms, where that small bed was under which our kitty Navi had been going to the bathroom without really going to her bathroom, remember?

Even though Navi is using her litter box normally now, I still wanted to get rid of that bed since nobody is using it. We have the computer and my boyfriend’s whole work setup in there, along with my electric piano, so in theory, that room should be a study. Today at long last, with my cousin's help, we dismantled that bed and stored it in a good spot, freeing up more space. There are still things to organize, but it will soon look like a proper study. After that, I had to go make lunch.

My mother, elentogether@elentogether, is someone who doesn’t go out much either. Sometimes, when my siblings and I heard her making excuses not to attend a plan, we’d ask her why she wasn't going, and she’d tell us she had too much to do at home. Now that I’m an adult, I can understand her when it comes to this and many other things. As adults, we want to stay home because our responsibilities are here, and it also gives us a little time to rest from being adults.

Another thing I did was practice a bit of self-care. On Friday, I walked into a store looking for a couple of skincare products, and the girl who helped me pointed out how neglected my skin has been. She didn't do it in a mean way; I actually appreciated her telling me and giving me advice instead of just trying to sell me her products. I can't deny it was a necessary wake-up call. The fact that a stranger told me because she saw I needed help with it made me want to start paying closer attention to my self-care routines again.

So today, I decided to test out my creams. The thing is, after applying the sunscreen and creams, I wanted to see how it would look with a little makeup on top. That "little" makeup ended up turning into doing my eyes and eyebrows just to sit around the house, simply because I couldn't stop.

My eyes are very sensitive, and since this morning I’ve been feeling some discomfort related to the nerves around there and my migraines. Fortunately, it hasn't triggered a full attack, but they are quite red. This is also something about myself that makes me pretty self-conscious. Most days, I avoid makeup because eye products usually cause me the most trouble. The makeup brand I sometimes use is hypoallergenic, but I'm still searching for another one that irritates me less.

Finally, with my makeup done, I sat on the couch to play my favorite video game, and then, right before writing this, I sat down to watch a YouTube video while eating a delicious ice cream sandwich. Now this is truly sublime!

🏡[ESP]

Entonces hoy me puse a probar mis cremas.
