... I learned some valuable hacks on how to sell.

Before I became a server I had no clue the amount of sales knowledge that actually went into it.

Now, selling in the service industry is definitely a lot different from car sales, for example.

But, as a server when it comes to up-selling on drinks, foods, sides, etc. some sales knowledge definitely comes in handy.

And in the 2 years I was a server I for sure learned a good few tricks to selling. ⠀

Here are the top 3 things I learned: ⠀

🔥 Offer value

People will pay more money for more value. Giving value creates trust. Make your customer feel comfortable with buying from you because of the value you provide.⠀

🔥 Be honest

If my customer was about to order something off the menu that sucked... I would let them know. Of course, everyone has different tastes, so I would give them the reasons why I didn't like it. Either way, they appreciated my honesty. The same goes for your biz. Be honest about what you can do for your client and how you will help them.⠀

🔥 Be yourself

This was when I really had to stop being the shy introverted girl I used to be and show my customers a good time. When I did that, I started enjoying my job so much more and I was able to meet some really awesome people. When I first started copywriting I created a website. It had good info, but it didn't represent my personality. I had to eventually do a rebranding and bring my personality to my business. My customers now know who they're working with.. before they ever start working with me.⠀

What are some lessons you learned while running your business? Let me know!⠀
