Running a gas station in Lagos will test your positivity.

One day sales is good. Next day tanker delays. Next day one pump has issue. Staff will make mistakes. Customers will shout.

But I learned: Your energy is your real product.

Customers don't only come for fuel. They come for how you make them feel.

When my attendant says "Welcome sir, thank you sir" with a genuine smile, that customer will come back even if there is another station closer to him.

My 3 Positivity Rules at GODSWILL VENTURES:

1. No Transfer of Aggression.
Bad morning? Leave it at home. Customer did not cause it.

2. Count What Is Working.
Instead of complaining about low sales, I count: How many customers said thank you today? How many came back? Gratitude multiplies.

3. Train With Heart.
I don't just train my boys to sell fuel. I train them to be honest, punctual, respectful. Because if they leave my station, I want them to succeed anywhere.

If you are hustling today - market woman, driver, tailor, student - remember:

Positivity is not softness. It's strength to stay kind when life is hard.

And that strength? It pays more than fuel.
