Complaint and Compliment

Hello Hivers, for this weekend commitment I chose option #1. And is that the same person can awaken in us complaints and at the same time we praise other actions.

This is the case of a co-worker and friend whom I esteem very much. She is the most tender, sweet, nice, charismatic and helpful person who worked in that office. She is also an excellent professional committed to the organization.

From now on I will call her Sweet Torment.

Sweet torment was a kind woman, it was common to see how she shared her food, for example with those who had nothing or little at a particular time or simply to taste what she had prepared, because she cooked delicious. Her kindness was with everyone she met, even with those who had more than her, and not only with food, she shared her accounting knowledge and what she had learned in the work field, as well as her experiences to serve as an example to others. She wanted to transmit in the best way what she knew.

She went to great lengths to make your birthday a big celebration, organizing the logistics that covered decorations, cake, refreshments and gifts. If she had an item such as earrings, a necklace, an ornament at her work station and someone commented that it looked nice and that they would like the same or a similar one, she would not hesitate to give away whatever she acquired.

When overtime was required, she was always willing to work overtime. Children are her weakness, so if a colleague brought his child to the office one day, Sweet Torment would adopt him for 8 hours to provide him with careful attention that included candy, games, gifts, lunchtime rides and everything that time would allow until 5:00 pm.

BUT, Sweet Torment had a weakness. Regret and negativity would invade her personality.

This would happen for days or seasons, without leaving kindness aside, she would become the person who would lament the most about any situation she was going through, often falling into immaturity. Let me explain a little, at that time in our country we were going through the greatest hyperinflation ever recorded and we added the shortage of basic necessities. Sweet Torment lamented for not being able to enjoy the lifestyle she was used to, ok we all did, but she was stuck all day long with the subject and when we tried to divert her attention, we did not have good results.

She would pay attention to the negative, instead of being grateful for what she had. If she managed to buy toiletries, she would lament because it was not the brand she used, if she bought beef, she would cry because she wanted to eat pork, if she enjoyed an outing to the beach, she would cry for the mountain. There were times when she did not pay attention to her and others when she spoke to her like a mother, making her see that other people were in need and she was a young girl, with no children or responsibilities other than to herself.

Sweet Torment would become extremely negative and if a guy asked her out and had good intentions, she would immediately comment that she would walk away at any moment. If she managed to lose a few kilos, I praised her and encouraged her to continue (she had a thick frame), she, on the other hand, saw that the cellulite did not disappear and so on with everything around her.

She thought about registering a company to become independent and then felt that she would not be able to attract the attention of customers. Then, she looked for new job opportunities and when she received appointments for interviews, she always found something detrimental in the company and did not attend.

Thanks to her kindness and charisma, Sweet Torment would ask for help and immediately receive an encouraging response; however, it was never enough for her. She was able to attract attention with her brilliance and then turn it off.

Because of the above, having Sweet Torment as a companion was difficult and I complained to other friends and, on the other hand, praised her kindness, charisma and sympathy.

Briefly I will tell you that a few years ago I earned the nickname "Lis Hilton" and it was a coworker, then the other girls did the chorus, as they say. The inspiration was found in Paris Hilton (businesswoman, model, actress, singer and millionaire) and it is not that we have something in common, only that this girl said that I was very exquisite, educated, elegant and with excellent manners as the aforementioned actress.

My classmates were so common that I stood out among them. That nickname was only said to me by my direct companions, about five women. To this day they remind me of it when we communicate through different social networks or WhatsApp.

Thus culminates my participation for the weekend engagement #112. Here I leave the link for you to know all the topics.

I say goodbye as always wishing you good energy 馃挒
