It is a pleasure to be back this week sharing with you. This time I am leaning towards the following topic; confront, denounce or ignore; with a hypothetical case which is as follows
You witness someone in your workplace stealing money from the company you both work for, what should you do; confront, report it to the boss or keep quiet? Explain your choice and the ramifications that might follow.
When we join a company or institution, it is because we first meet a profile and because you were selected among several people, because of this I think it is always good to give the best of oneself and excel in our work.
Under the case presented, I think that one of the things that is sought in a worker is the commitment to the company, to have that sense of belonging and work to make the company grow.
If I see a co-worker defrauding the trust and doing that through theft, the stability of the company or institution is at stake; I would surely confront him first and tell him not to continue doing this since he is defrauding the trust that was given to him. If he insists on doing this type of improper activity then I would have no other option but to denounce him.
From my point of view, I would never ignore a situation like this; I think that your workplace should apply a sense of honesty and work to make the company grow. If someone makes this kind of mistake, it simply does me no good to be able to continue in the line of employees.
To act as I think, I know that it would bring me problems with the worker, but I prefer to be honest, sincere and loyal to the workplace that opened the doors to perform a job that was not stealing.
