Dear friends of this entertaining Wednesday Walk community, I join the #westherdaywark challenge. Last week I couldn't be with you because a big event happened in my family, my dear son got married. That makes me very happy, but going back to our walk I want to share with you the pictures I took in a small park near my house.
Queridos amigos de esta entretenida comunidad de Wednesday Walk, me uno al reto #wednesdaywalk. La semana pasada no pude estar con ustedes porque sucedió un gran acontecimiento en mi familia, mi querido hijo se casó. Eso me hace muy feliz, pero volviendo a nuestro paseo quiero compartir con ustedes las fotos que hice en un pequeño parque cerca de mi casa.
Every day when I go for a walk I pass by there because it is very close and I don't know why I had never shared it with you. It is a small park dedicated to Dominoes.
Todos los días cuando salgo a caminar paso por ahí porque está muy cerca y no sé por qué nunca lo había compartido con ustedes. Es un pequeño parque dedicado al Dominó.
For Cubans and some Latinos this board game called Dominoes is very well known. When we get together to share, we always play our music, prepare some drinks and there is always someone who incites to this common board game and it doesn't take long, sooner rather than later as we say here the game starts... hahaha.
It is played in pairs, although it is not essential. It is a very popular game, which identifies Cubans. For this reason a small park was built in its name and this is the one I show you.
Para los cubanos y algunos latinos es muy conocido este juego de mesa llamado Dominó. Cuando nos reunimos a compartir, siempre ponemos nuestra música, preparamos unos tragos y siempre hay alguien que incita a este común juego de mesa y no tarda mucho, más temprano que tarde como decimos aquí comienza la partida... jajaja.
Se juega por parejas, aunque no es imprescindible. Es un juego muy popular, que identifica a los cubanos. Por este motivo se construyó un pequeño parque en su nombre y este es el que les muestro.
In the centre there are three dominoes on a pedestal, as you can see there are several benches and trees around, many neighbours sit down to rest, the benches are comfortable with backrests, they enjoy the shade of the trees. At this time of the year the grass is a bit sparse and with many dry leaves, it is the first time in several years that the temperature drops so much, our plants as well as us, are not used to so much cold hahaha.
En el centro hay tres fichas de dominó sobre un pedestal, como pueden ver hay varios bancos y árboles alrededor, muchos vecinos se sientan a descansar, los bancos son cómodos con respaldos, disfrutan de la sombra de los árboles. En esta época del año el césped está un poco escaso y con muchas hojas secas, es la primera vez en varios años que baja tanto la temperatura, nuestras plantas al igual que nosotros, no estamos acostumbrados a tanto frío jajaja.
In this park there are these flowers that here in Cuba we call Corona de Cristo because they have thorny stems and by association they are called that, but they have very pretty pink flowers.
En este parque están estas flores que aquí en Cuba llamamos Corona de Cristo porque tienen tallos espinosos y por asociación se le llaman así, pero tienen unas flores rosadas muy bonitas.
As you can see it also has small street lamps that light up the park at night. Although it is very small, the park decorates our environment, and the children come to it. There are two tables so that the fans of this game can play a few games.

Como puedes ver, también tiene pequeñas farolas que iluminan el parque por la noche. Aunque es muy pequeño, el parque decora nuestro entorno, y los niños acuden a él. Hay dos mesas para que los aficionados a este juego puedan echar unas partidas.
