Today's activity highlight was a thirty mile round trip on the ebike to one of the disc golf courses around here.
Ebikes are really wonderful because you can control how much of a workout you get with them. You don't have to wear fancy shoes or shorts or even gloves to be comfortable. I think this is because you are not working at close to full power to struggle up some hills.
You can even carry a pretty heavy load without as much effort. I usually don't carry more than five discs though because it does get bulky and it saves the battery on these longer trips.
The disc golfing was fun but I lost a disc. I was throwing into a slight headwind that was coming across from left to right. I through the Tern disc pretty much at full power and it turned up and drifted right going long without fading. I probably should have thrown the Tobu Charge because that is a bit more stable but I can't throw it as far. I wanted to get the disc all the way to the basket but I paid the price and lost it somewhere.
It hit the top of three trees and I thought I might find it next to the other tee pad but there were bramble bushes all over the place around there.
I searched for a while and really thought I would find it right away. Just when I was about ready to go I found another disc in the bush. It had been there a long time as was really faded. There was a name and number on the back but the sunlight had faded it so much it was not legible.
I guess I lost one and found one.
The Tern disc that I lost was a disc that I had found in an old building nearly in the same area. It is interesting that I lost it on the same course. I really liked that disc and might consider purchasing another one some time. (It probably won't fly the same though, without the dog bite marks and hole that were on the one I lost.)
Here's some photography that I took this morning.
I was checking on the apple crop to see how it is getting along. Things are looking fine.
A new tree hybred the Douglass fir apple? Nope just me being lazy and not trimming the fir tree. The two trees seem to be getting along well though.
This snail looked like it was enjoying the morning and helping out with the weed eating:
This snail was pretty adventures and climbed way up in the berry bush. These are not my favorite berries but they do ripen last in the fall when the other are gone.
I like these clouds that look like little popcorn pieces. This mornings sunrise was nice.
