In Maracay’s Bolivar Square

Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes mi segunda sesión de selfies. Esta vez desde un lugar muy bonito y que me gusta mucho: La Plaza Bolívar de Maracay.

Today I want to share with you my second selfie session. This time from a very nice place that I really like: Maracay’s Bolivar Square.

Es un lugar donde se respira paz y tranquilidad. Es mi lugar favorito porque es como estar fuera de la ciudad sin salir de ella. El toque de la brisa al atravesar las ramas de los árboles y llegar hasta mi piel. El trinar de los pajaritos. Hasta el aire se respira más puro en este punto de la ciudad.

It is a place where you can breathe peace and tranquility. It is my favorite place because it is like being out of the city without leaving it. The touch of the breeze as it crosses the branches of the trees and reaches my skin. The chirping of the little birds. Even the air is purer at this point in the city.

El sonido del agua fluyendo en las diversas fuente, como la que se ve al fondo, y las estructuras físicas que forman parte de la plaza desde la década de 1930 aproximadamente, ayudan a crear esa atmósfera de paz y tranquilidad, que tanto disfruto.

The sound of water flowing in the various fountains, such as the one seen in the background, and the physical structures that have been part of the square since the 1930s or so, help create that atmosphere of peace and tranquility that I enjoy so much.

Me gusta venir aquí sola, cuando la multitud de mis pensamientos abruman mi mente. Me permite Conectarme con la Divinidad. Calmar mis miedos e inseguridades. Reencontrarme conmigo misma. Reflexionar.

I like to come here alone, when the multitude of my thoughts overwhelm my mind. It allows me to Connect with Divinity. Calm my fears and insecurities. Rediscover myself. Reflect.

Pero también disfruto venir en buena compañía. En unas ocasiones con amistades que también viven aquí en Maracay, en otras con amistades foráneas en quienes yo deseo dejar una impresión duradera de mi Ciudad Jardín.

But I also enjoy coming in good company. On some occasions with friends who also live here in Maracay, on other occasions with foreign friends in whom I wish to leave a lasting impression of my Garden City.

Aquí se han forjado grandes amistades y alianzas, pero también se han roto muchas de ellas. Aquí han existido risas y encuentros, pero también grandes desencuentros.

Here great friendships and alliances have been forged, but many of them have also been broken. Here there have been laughs and encounters, but also great disagreements.
