Hello, how are you? So last week I decided to paint the canvas panel I made before, and I couldn't stop doing it, so I painted again. Still, this time in " Caterpillar " I have this idea of a woman in relationship and then they ask their partner is "Would You Still Love Me If I Was A Worm?" but to the last minute I change it with insect, caterpillar is not a worm LOL.
I am thinking I should name the portrait art style. I was thinking of naming it Gloom and Bloom, or Gloom better.
In a 6x6-inch canvas panel, I drew Gloom in insect form using colored pencil.
And then I tone up the canvas using burnt sienna. I should layer the line art with dark acrylic paint so that the colored pencil will not fade. It is too late, so I drew it so it will redraw it again LOL.
Let the paint dry first, and then I started to add the line art using dark brown acrylic paint.
Now that the line art is darkened, I start with the skin first.
I decided to paint the background. I usually do it in the middle of the process, but I guess this is the best time to do it. Red is perfect with green, so it did it.
I like to start with dark green first.
While the other part is still in the drying process, I added a layer of skin color on Gloom.
Then I added the middle tones.
Just trust the process, and then I started adding lighter colors.
And then I added the legs, it is still flat, but I will fix it later LOL.
Adding white highlights made it look better and pop out Gloom best.
And because he looks like he is begging, I added the famous line, woman in a relationship, 'Would you still love me if I was a insect or worm?' I was supposed to add worm, but caterpillar is not a worm LOL.
Gloom "Would You Still Love Me If I Was A Insect?"
