Coffee and breakfast are a big part of any trip, any day really. Just for fun, here is a look at some of the breakfasts and coffee breaks that we had in Germany during our trip to Bavaria.
Our first stop was in Dinkelsbühl on day one, where we had...dessert basically...for breakfast.
My wife had a bubble waffle with ice cream and berries, with a cafe latte to go with it.
I had a type of German cheesecake and a cappuccino.
I like to think that pastries are fine for breakfast on occasion, especially on vacation. I don't feel guilty.
For day two and three we had breakfast at our hotel. It wasn't anything special but still had a decent selection. Breakfasts in Germany tend to be a little more hearty than those in France, in my experience.
I like to be able to fill up enough to carry me through most of the day so I always appreciated a decent German breakfast.
"Ooo, make your own waffles." That's a new one to see at a hotel.
A simple Americano in the afternoon in Regensburg (perhaps a hint to what our next travel stop will be).
My wife had a cafe latte of course.

Our breakfast in Baden Baden on our way home was the most impressive and most memorable.
My wife's consisted of an assortment of pastries and breads, a yogurt and berries, and an assortment of cured meats and vegetables.
Mine was similar in the pastry and bread department, a salad, and an omelet and bacon. Everything was delicious at the location. Unfortunately I can't remember the name of the place, which I realize doesn't help anyone else out, but what are you going to do?
