Tackling a one-lap downhill race filled with dirt switchbacks and tight drifts, I fought my way from eighth to first. A few rewinds, risky overtakes, and near misses kept the tension high, but I crossed the line ahead, rewarded with credits and a stunning sunset view.
Today, it's about the 1989 Porsche #65 Rothsport Racing 911 in Montana's Trail.
Montana Trail
Braking downhill on loose dirt isn't easy, but by the time you reach the bottom, you'll have the Scandinavian flick nailed down. The tough switchbacks make it a real challenge, and it's no surprise they always bring in a big crowd.
The first thing I noticed after the race started was only Porsche Rothsport Racing was the only car that was seen on the track. I mean, why? I faced this before, if I'm not wrong.
It was a 1-lap race where I was placed 8th at the beginning.
I somehow realized I won't be able to win this one as all other racers were driving at a good speed, but I reached the second position in only 32 seconds, when it was 14% of game progress.
My next target was to get to the first position as fast as I could, so I kept driving on the tail of the first racer, till I got a chance at 27% progress, right after a turn where the other racer slowed down a little.
I didn't slow down; I bumped into that racer instead and snatched the first position.
The other racer took its revenge, though I tried hard to stop her. As she went ahead of me and I was trying to stop her, I bumped into a railing, and two more racers went ahead.
Getting back at this time seemed risky for me, so I tried rewinding once, and I passed that moment clean, and I held the first position like I meant to be, and I was trying good drifts ahead.
To show you guys the views around, I tried a different step. I jumped off the hill at 65% progress and was about to disqualify, but I had the button to rewind, you know.
After trying another rewind, I drove the rest of the way, keeping my head cool, and when I reached the finish line, I noticed the other racers were not too far from me. A single mistake would make me lose this race.
Yeah, I finished first in 4:06 min and got a spin to try, where I was rewarded with 30k CR, though I was hoping for a good car.
The race ended, and everything became quiet. I drove a little to enjoy this beautiful sunset view.
