From a tough start in Copper Canyon to a flawless descent down unforgiving switchbacks, this one-lap event tested everything, especially my brakes. Eighth to first, a win in under three minutes, and a lucky wheelspin later, I wrapped it all up with a calm drive along the beach.
Today, it's about the Barranca Trail with Jeep Trail Cat 2016.
Barranca Trail
After a steep ascent to the breathtaking heights of Copper Canyon, the route takes a sharp turn, quite literally, as it plunges through a series of tight, winding switchbacks carved into the canyon walls.
It's a dramatic descent where control is everything, and I was glad I made sure my brakes were in top shape before the drop began. One wrong move here, and the canyon doesn’t forgive easily.
It was a one-lap event with a total of 12 racers, including me, and I found myself in eighth position at the beginning, as I recently increased the difficulty level. I was hoping I had chosen the right car for the event.
It seemed like my car was slower than all others at first till I reached the first racer in 17% completion, and I tried the reply feature twice at that moment to get ahead of the first racer as I was bumping somewhere unnecessarily, and I did it.
Reached off-road at 48% progress, and it looked like the downfall started from there. I could see the steep road taking me down the canyon.
The track was already dangerous, and there I was facing some hard turns when I was already at a good speed. Fortunately, the braking system of this Jeep is just awesome.
I had to be too careful, as one small mistake could take me down the canyon in a shortcut, I mean, in an accident. I was being careful, I was being slow, but still I wasn't seeing any rivals on the radar, so guess how slow they were.
I found a concrete road after a breathtaking ride to al the way down the canyon, and then I was trying to see which hill I was driving on. I was thinking of jumping off the hill to get some cool photos, but I didn't find an option to fall once I was close to the ground level.
I didn't believe I reached the finishing line already, and as you can see, no other racers were being seen in the frame when I was already at the finishing line.
And yeah, I finished first in 2:48.
I got to try a wheelspin where I earned 250,000 huge CR, though there was a Ford just above it.
I was close to a beach, so I decided to visit the beach where I found a home that I could buy, and I bought it to make it a fast travel point. And then I drove around the beach.
